Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to high-risk OB patients including labor, delivery, and C-section patients in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit
• Perform independent patient assessments, exams, and ongoing monitoring including management of magnesium sulfate patients
• Chart accurately and concurrently across two EMR systems (Meditech and GE)
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratios and maintain a strong customer service approach in all patient and family interactions
• Collaborate with in-house hospitalist coverage and interdisciplinary team including scrub techs, respiratory therapy, and 24/7 pharmacy
• Float to OB or nursery as needed for task support without assuming a patient assignment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current ACLS and NRP certifications required
• High-risk OB experience required; must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform independent patient exams and full assessments
• Willingness to work every third weekend; night shift weekends are defined as Friday and Saturday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RNC (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certification preferred
• Experience charting in Meditech and/or GE clinical systems
• Familiarity with C-section support, magnesium sulfate protocols, and high-risk antepartum care
