Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role will involve working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to establish clear objectives and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.


Key responsibilities include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement plans, risk registers and quality documentation. You will oversee site activities, monitor progress against milestones, review contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved designs, building regulations, health and safety requirements and environmental standards. The role will also involve managing variations, resolving technical and commercial issues, preparing regular progress reports and maintaining accurate project records. You will be expected to identify potential delays or risks at an early stage and implement practical solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.


Applicants should have proven experience managing construction projects, ideally across the full project lifecycle, together with a relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, cost control and health and safety legislation is essential. Excellent organisational, negotiation and communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build productive relationships at all levels. Experience using project management and scheduling software would be advantageous. A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach is essential, as is the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider project team.
