Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities Monitor athletic events and team practices, providing assessment and treatment to maintain athletes’ maximum physical fitness. Provide first‑aid techniques and perform triage as necessary. Develop and administer rehabilitation programs, recommending corrective exercises, modalities, and special diets to prevent injuries and promote recovery. Coordinate conditioning, treatment, and overall health status of athletes with coaches and physicians. Provide athletic injury evaluation and immediate care, and assist with referrals of injured athletes in accordance with accepted athletic training practices. Assist in the supervision of graduate students and student‑assistant staff, training and developing them within the athletic training room. Qualifications Master’s degree required. Certification as an Athletic Trainer (NATA) required. Must be duly licensed or credentialed in accordance with applicable state laws to practice athletic training. Must pass Park University’s background check. Must achieve certification to transport students. Physical Requirements Requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, or standing, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Benefits Health, dental, and life insurance. Retirement plan.
