Ready Mix Driver – Daytona Beach, FL Job ID: 511268 The Ready Mix Driver transports and delivers ready mix concrete to work sites, ensuring safe operation of equipment, compliance with company safety policies, and maintenance of the mixer truck. Primary Job Functions Drive the ready mix truck to and from the plant and various work sites. Inspect and maintain the mixer truck, including hose passage and cleaning of the barrel between deliveries. Walk on uneven, slippery surfaces at plant and site locations while operating the vehicle. Unload concrete onto work sites and attach extension chutes when required. Handle regular lifting of 25–50 pounds and perform tasks that may involve climbing, stooping, bending, and using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and shovels. Operate in hot or cold weather conditions and may be required to work overtime. Pass DOT physical and drug screening and meet the Preferred Materials Driver Qualification Standards, including a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license and necessary endorsements. Qualifications Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills. 1–2 years of related experience or training preferred but not required. Class A or B driver’s license with a current medical card (or the ability to obtain one). No DUI within the last two years and minimal moving violations. Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish respectful relationships with coworkers. Ability to read and interpret written information such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Preferred Forklift certification. Benefits Highly competitive base pay.
