Non-CDL Box Truck Driver/Merchandiser

Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Store Delivery (DSD)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM (No Weekends!)

About the Role Are you a reliable driver with an eye for detail and a great customer service attitude? We are looking for a Non-CDL Box Truck Driver & Merchandiser to join our local ice cream distribution team!

In this role, you won't just be dropping off orders—you’ll be the face of our brand. You will drive a 20-foot refrigerated box truck on dedicated local routes, deliver frozen goods directly to retail stores, and ensure our products look great on the shelves.

Compensation & Benefits We offer a strong base structure with uncapped commission potential:

• Base Pay + Commission: $100/day daily base + 3% commission on all completed deliveries

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a 20-foot refrigerated box truck on daily local delivery routes.

• Direct Store Delivery (DSD): Check in orders with store management accurately and efficiently.

• Merchandising: Stock, rotate, and arrange ice cream products on retail shelves and display freezers according to brand standards.

• Safely load, unload, and maneuver frozen cargo.

• Maintain professional relationships with retail store managers and staff.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience operating a 20-foot box truck or delivery vehicle required.

• DSD/Grocery Experience: Direct Store Delivery (DSD), store check-in, or grocery merchandising experience highly preferred.

• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License and a valid DOT Physical Card (or ability to pass a DOT physical prior to hire).

• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

• Background & Driving Record: Clean driving record and clean background check required.

• Drug Testing: Must pass an initial pre-employment lab drug screen (including no THC) and comply with testing-for-cause protocols.

Requirements

• Experience: 20ft box truck driving required; DSD or grocery merchandising highly preferred

• Certification: Valid Driver’s License and DOT Physical Card (or ability to pass prior to hire)

• Physical: Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly

• Screening: Clean driving record/background check; must pass pre-employment lab drug screen (including no THC) and comply with cause-based testing

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Box Truck Delivery Driver (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Customer Service (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Order Delivery (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Stocking (1 year of experience is preferred)
