Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 per year

eNetwork Supply (eNS) is a provider of new and pre-owned equipment serving the cable, IT, data center, broadband, and telecommunications industries.

We are seeking a Procurement / Buyback Specialist to join our team in Skokie, IL. This position will play a key role in our hardware acquisition and value recovery efforts, identifying opportunities to purchase surplus, excess, and decommissioned technology equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience in IT/electronic hardware procurement, IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), asset recovery, refurbished electronics, buybacks, or a related field and understands how to evaluate equipment, determine market value, negotiate purchases, and build strong B2B relationships.

What You'll Do

Asset Acquisition & Procurement

\n
• Identify and purchase surplus, excess, and decommissioned telecom, broadband, IT, and data center equipment.
\n
• Evaluate equipment inventories and determine potential market and resale value.
\n
• Negotiate purchase agreements, asset recovery contracts, buybacks, and bulk inventory acquisitions.
\n
• Source equipment through direct customer outreach, auctions, liquidation opportunities, and industry contacts.
\n
• Identify opportunities to recover value from surplus and end-of-life network assets.
\n
• Prepare competitive purchase offers and asset disposition proposals.
\n
• Coordinate the acquisition and return of purchased equipment into company inventory.
\n

Customer & Vendor Relationship Management

\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with telecom carriers, broadband providers, utilities, contractors, data centers, and enterprise customers.
\n
• Build relationships with procurement, network operations, engineering, and facilities teams.
\n
• Serve as a primary point of contact for organizations looking to sell or dispose of excess equipment and materials.
\n
• Generate new opportunities through targeted B2B outreach, industry networking, and trade shows.
\n
• Coordinate site visits and equipment inventory assessments.
\n
• Maintain and manage a pipeline of active opportunities and purchase offers.
\n

Equipment Evaluation & Valuation

\n
• Review bills of materials (BOMs), inventory lists, and equipment reports.
\n
• Evaluate equipment based on condition, age, current demand, functionality, and potential resale value.
\n
• Analyze buying trends and available market information to support purchasing decisions.
\n
• Identify equipment with strong resale and value-recovery potential.
\n

Equipment & Technology

Candidates should have familiarity with IT, telecommunications, broadband, networking, or data center hardware. Equipment may include:

• Fiber optic cable and fiber reels
\n
• OSP materials, including pedestals, cabinets, handholes, conduit, and related hardware
\n
• Calix, Adtran, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and similar network electronics
\n
• Routers and switches
\n
• Optical transport equipment
\n
• Network access platforms
\n
• Data center servers and storage
\n
• Racks and power equipment
\n
• Antennas and wireless infrastructure
\n
• Tower equipment
\n
• Generators
\n
• UPS systems
\n
• Batteries and power distribution equipment
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 3+ years of experience procuring IT/electronic hardware, IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), purchasing, refurbished electronics, asset recovery, buybacks, or a closely related field.
\n
• Strong technical understanding of hardware such as servers, networking equipment, storage, telecom equipment, or commercial technology.
\n
• Ability to assess equipment condition, functionality, market demand, and potential resale value.
\n
• Strong negotiation skills with the confidence and resilience to conduct B2B outreach and close purchasing opportunities.
\n
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to evaluate buying trends, pricing, and potential asset value.
\n
• Experience maintaining accurate records using spreadsheets and/or CRM systems.
\n
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple purchasing opportunities, offers, and relationships simultaneously.
\n
• Ability to commute to the Skokie, IL location for an on-site position.
\n

Education

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related technical field required.
\n

Who Will Succeed in This Role?

This opportunity is well suited for someone who combines technical hardware knowledge with strong commercial instincts .

You should be comfortable looking at a list of IT or telecom equipment, understanding what you're looking at, determining whether there is value in acquiring it, and confidently negotiating with the organization selling those assets.
