Veterinary Technician – Dodge City Veterinary Hospital Denham Springs, LA – Dodge City Veterinary Hospital, a proud partner of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. We provide high‑quality primary care for dogs and cats, along with bathing, grooming, dentistry, surgery, spay/neuter services, acupuncture, and holistic care throughout Denham Springs, Baton Rouge, Livingston, and Walker. What You’ll Do Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures Place IV catheters and perform blood draws, IV, IM, and SQ injections Monitor anesthesia and utilize diagnostic and monitoring equipment Support patient flow through admissions, treatments, and discharges Educate clients on individualized pet care, medications, and treatment plans Maintain accurate, thorough medical records Practice safe restraint techniques and maintain clean, organized treatment areas Mentor and support fellow team members What We’re Looking For Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of hands‑on veterinary technician or assistant experience Proficiency with IV catheter placement, bloodwork, and injections Experience monitoring anesthesia Strong teamwork and communication skills A passion for empathetic, high‑quality veterinary medicine You’ll Thrive Here If You Are Positive, kind, and dependable Motivated to grow professionally Committed to collaboration and patient advocacy You’ll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skill‑set programs.
