Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule: Full Time, D/E/N, including weekends and holidays Registered Nurse - Emergency Department F.F. Tuition reimbursement up to $6,000/year Contribution and match on retirement plan Five weeks paid time off Access to success coaches Free parking Responsibilities Ongoing assessment and rapid identification of changes in condition Crisis intervention and management Provide ongoing patient and family education Facilitate and arrange appropriate discharge plan Support the Emergency Department and nursing professionals by participating in department meetings and serving on hospital committees Requirements Valid NYS Nursing license Minimum 1‑year medical/surgical experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment Qualifications ACLS/BLS certification TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred Prior ED or critical care experience Basic Coronary Care Course within 8 months of employment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to function as a team member ED experience preferred; exceptional candidates from other backgrounds considered Flexibility required to work varied shifts including weekends and holiday rotation Pay Range: $38.00−$50.00 per hour Starting Pay: Based on experience Thompson Health is an EOE encouraging individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply.
