Autonomy is only as good as the link that carries it. Thunder is a compact airframe with weapons, sensors and radios competing for the same antenna real estate, flying low and in formation, in a spectrum that is actively contested. That is the problem you would own.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Thunder team and own board design for our next-generation payloads and mission systems. In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle of custom, flight-critical printed circuit boards that integrate advanced sensors, communications gear, and processing hardware into the aircraft. You will design robust digital and power electronics engineered to survive harsh aerospace environments with demanding weight, power, and thermal constraints. From schematic capture and layout through hands-on lab bring-up and flight testing, you will be the hardware owner driving designs directly onto the platform. Collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams, your work will directly deliver the hardware that powers our aircraft's mission capabilities.WHAT YOU'LL DODesign embedded electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integrationTroubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic software debugging toolsWork with modern SoCs and networking hardware to build Anduril platformsWork closely with firmware/software engineers for processor/peripheral selection, board bring up, and troubleshooting.Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional productsWork in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardwareConcurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stagesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering3+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex hardware, embedded systems, and productsDemonstrated experience with multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory busses, Ethernet MAC and PHY interfaces, FPGAs, and common communication busses like SPI and I2CExperience with microprocessor and microcontroller selection, configuration, and interfacingExperience with component, schematic capture, high speed board design, and guiding PCB layout.Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of testsFamiliarity with product development processes and toolsKnowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCsKnowledge of embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux toolsExceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design toolsFamiliar with common programming languages like Python for test automation.Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearanceUS Salary Range$129,000—$198,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
