Mechanical Engineer (Senior)

RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, is seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers specializing in 3D electronics packaging, thermal system design, and hardware build and test. Responsibilities of a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer candidate will include: Package complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems Build and test complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems Design thermal management systems for power electronics Perform structural analysis for components, support structures, and ruggedized enclosures under harsh environmental conditions and shock and vibration Use FEA, CFD, and hand calculations for thermal and structural analysis Create, review, and issue prototype and production level drawings IAW GD&T standards Source vendors and communicate for quoting and procurement of custom parts Prepare and perform technical presentations and design reviews for customers Create and maintain process and build documentation in conjunction with operations team Write and/or review ME focused patents, whitepapers, and technical conference/journal articles Lead cross-functional teams to develop solid-state power conversion systems Provide technical input into business development activities RCT Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
