Commercial Banker - Twin Cities

Job Description: Commercial Lender As a Commercial Lender, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the bank's lending activities within the local market. Your focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with businesses, understanding their financial needs, and structuring loan solutions that align with the bank's goals.

- Client Engagement: Meet with business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs to understand their financial requirements. Discuss loan options, credit needs, and growth plans.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit histories, and collateral.
- Relationship Cultivation: Build strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek new business opportunities.
- Loan Origination and Structuring : While the bank has traditionally been CRE-heavy, there's a current emphasis on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending. You'll work with clients across various industries.
- SBA 7(a) Lending: The bank aims to expand its SBA 7(a) lending program. Collaborate with the team to bring in SBA-backed loans.
- Local Market Knowledge: Understand the dynamics of the 7-county metro area. Attend community events, network, and represent the bank.
- Identify Opportunities: Stay informed about local businesses, industries, and economic trends. Identify lending opportunities.
- Cash Management Partnerships: Collaborate with cash management specialists to enhance client relationships and cross-sell services.
- Deposit Growth: Specifically, focus on non-interest-bearing deposit growth (measured in basis points).
- Experience: Prior commercial lending experience is essential. Familiarity with CRE, C&I, and SBA lending is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Assessing risk, structuring loans, and understanding financial statements require strong analytical abilities.
- Relationship-Building: Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with clients and colleagues.
