The Hilton Hotel and Conference Center at College Station is looking for an Independent Contractor Sales Representative to help us bring new group, event, and meeting business to our full-service hotel and conference center. This is an opportunity for a motivated, well-connected sales professional to leverage their existing relationships and network while representing a well-established hospitality brand.

As an Independent Contractor Sales Representative, you will use your existing relationships, professional network, and knowledge of your market to identify and generate qualified group business opportunities. You will represent the hotel to prospective clients, introduce our accommodations, meeting space, and catering services, and connect qualified opportunities with our hotel sales team. Our internal Sales and Conference Services teams will support the process once a qualified opportunity is identified.

Potential business opportunities include Texas A&M organizations, athletic and academic events, corporate and government groups, conferences and meetings, weddings and social events, reunions and other group events in the College Station/Bryan and Greater Houston markets.

This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity. Commissions are calculated on qualifying net revenue, excluding taxes, fees, and service charges. Commissions do not apply to house accounts or existing clients. There is no base salary, draw, or guaranteed compensation. Earnings are based entirely on qualifying business generated and fulfilled.

You bring the relationships. We provide the hotel resources and support including approved hotel rates and sales collateral, Hilton hotel and conference center brand support, sales team support with proposals and site visits, assistance throughout the contracting process, conference services support after a booking is confirmed, and a professional hospitality environment and established hotel brand.

The ideal candidate is based in the Brazos Valley or Greater Houston area, well-connected within one or more relevant business or social markets, experienced in hospitality, event, travel, group, or B2B sales or has a strong established network, self-motivated and comfortable working independently, a strong relationship builder and professional communicator, comfortable working on a commission-only basis, able to travel within the assigned market as needed, experienced with groups, alumni organizations, weddings, sports, corporate travel, or events is a plus, and a Texas A&M connection is a plus, but not required.

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity and is not a hotel employee position. The Independent Contractor Sales Representative will not have authority to independently establish rates outside approved ranges or execute contracts on behalf of the hotel. All contracts are subject to hotel approval. No base salary, draw, or guaranteed earnings are provided. The hotel is an equal opportunity employer.
