- # Cardiac Monitor Technician, AVH, Full Time, RotationalApplyremote type: On-sitelocations: Natrona Heights PA, 15065, 1301 Carlisle Streettime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: J280523## **Company :**Allegheny Health Network## **Job Description :****GENERAL OVERVIEW**Performs continuous observation, identification of changes in rhythms and rates. and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under the supervision of the RN.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES*** Accurately identifies rhythm and rate changes and communicates to RN. Prints ECG strips for interpretation by RN. (30%)* Maintains continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport. Identifies changes and responds or reports to the RN as appropriate. (30%)* Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors. Ensures alarms are maintained at appropriate levels and settings. (20%)* Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor upon patient discharge. (10%)* Performs other unit specific duties such as video monitoring, order entry and answering phones. (10%)* Performs other duties as assigned or required.**QUALIFICATIONS****Minimum*** BLS Certification required within facility policy* Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire is required.* Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate* Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate* Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate***Disclaimer:*** *The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
