Structural Engineer – Destin, FL

Our client is an engineering consulting firm that offers a wide variety of design and development services. The team of professionals are made up of approximately 200 employees located in office throughout Missouri, Florida, and Arkansas. They are an employee-owned company that has grown from three to ten offices in the last five years. They are looking for enthusiastic team members to be a part of their firm family. Our client has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer with experience providing professional engineering related services in commercial and residential design projects. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage projects with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration. This position requires an individual that enjoys working in a team environment and thrives in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare structural design calculations, design analysis, construction drawings, specifications and reports utilizing RISA, Bentley RAM, Tekla Tedds, WoodWorks, ENERCALC, MecaWind, MasterSpec, Word and Excel.
• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
• Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects
• Prepare Engineer Reports & Studies
• Prepare Proposals and Contracts
• Prepare Construction Estimates

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 5+ years design experience
• Licensed PE required
• Licensed SE preferred
• Excellent written and communication skills
