You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and clear communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:45 AM - 06:00 PMTue05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations. Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and/or daily patrol observations in required reports. Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
