Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description
This position starts at 2 days per week , with the expectation of growing to 3 days per week over time. There is some flexibility on which days these are, so please include your availability. You'll also fill in for vacation and sick days, so some schedule flexibility is required. You'll be one of the first faces patients see and a key part of keeping our day running.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and check them in and out
- Answer phones and route calls and messages
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Verify insurance information and collect copays
- Update patient demographics and records in our EHR
- Keep the front area organized and welcoming
- Work closely with clinical staff to keep patient flow moving
- Data entry
- Chart preparation
- Use various online platforms to complete tasks
- Light cleaning
- Other admin tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous medical front desk experience a plus
- Working knowledge of Intergy EHR, Provider Flow, ZocDoc and Luma are a plus.
- Comfort with phones, scheduling, and insurance verification
- Clear, kind communication with patients and coworkers.
- Dependability
