Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this location, you will complete routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and property activity, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or security-related issues according to post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
