Reimbursement Specialist Location: Cary, NC Pay: $17.00 - $22.00/hourly *DOE* Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:00pm | OT as needed Job Description: Process healthcare information and medical claims, including billing and collection services. Provide financial guidance regarding hospital, HMO, and clinical services to patients, their families, and third‑party representatives. Verify insurance eligibility coverage for drug benefits. Act as a liaison between special drug program patients and their insurance companies. Ideal Candidate 1+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy or retail setting. 1+ years of data entry experience. 1+ years of experience working with insurance. 1+ years in a patient‑facing role or patient care. Highly detail‑oriented. Prior Authorization submission experience is a plus. Benefit investigation and insurance knowledge. Excellent customer service skills. 2+ years of customer service experience. 2+ years of medical or insurance industry experience. 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including Medicare and/or Medicaid program administration, insurance verification and/or claim adjudication, physician’s office or outpatient billing, pharmacy, and/or pharmaceutical manufacturers. Ability to analyze reimbursement‑specific data and prepare written reports. On‑boarding Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Criminal background and drug screening.
