Business Law Attorney (Full Time Engagement Role; Remote or Hybrid)

Latitude is assisting a well-regarded Portland law firm in identifying a Business Law Attorney for a part-time to full-time engagement role. This role will focus on supporting a range of business clients across commercial transactions, corporate matters, and day-to-day legal needs.The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on a variety of commercial agreements and business matters, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a client-facing role. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with business clients across industries in a dynamic and growing practice.Candidates should have a strong foundation in commercial contracting, corporate governance, and general business law, along with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities of Business Law AttorneyDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, services, and partnership agreementsAdvise clients on general corporate and business law matters, including entity formation, governance, and ongoing complianceSupport mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentationProvide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients across industriesCollaborate with internal teams and clients to develop efficient, risk-based solutionsManage multiple client matters and deadlines effectivelyBuild and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and thoughtful counselQualifications of Business Law AttorneyMinimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions and/or business lawActive bar admission (Oregan or Washington admission a plus)Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreementsExperience supporting corporate transactions, including M&A and due diligence, preferredExcellent analytical, writing, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-facing environmentStrong attention to detail, organization, and sound professional judgmentCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleaguesPosition Details of Business Law AttorneyType of role: Engagement roleSchedule: Part-Time to Full-timeLocation: Hybrid (two days a week at firm’s Portland, Oregan office) if in Portland or Remote is also acceptableCompensationPay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $120, 000 to $175,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage.
