Busy practice in our Walnut Creek location is seeking a Full-Time Ultrasound Tech, Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients with a referral from a physician. 
• Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure the appropriate examination is conducted. 
• Apply independent, professional, and ethical judgment and critical thinking to safely perform ultrasound procedures. 
• As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimal diagnostic results for the referring provider. 
• Identify and document any limitations of the ultrasound examination. 
• Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary findings for the Radiologist. 
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure ultrasound equipment operates at optimal levels. 
• Maintain knowledge of digital imaging processing and PACS archival in a filmless environment. 
• Call for service on ultrasound equipment when needed. 
• Conduct quality assurance (QA) on ultrasound equipment and maintain accurate, up-to-date logs. 
• Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient questions or concerns. 
• Communicate STAT results to the Radiologist. 
• Follow up on STAT results with the referring provider. 
• Maintain knowledge of budget guidelines for supply ordering. 
• Attend staff meetings, which may occur outside of regular office hours. 
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. 
• Communicate with the Center Manager regarding any related issues. 
• Communicate with the Radiologist regarding ultrasound best practices as needed. 
• Successfully complete EPIC training. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

• Current ARDMS certification. 
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers. 
• At least two (2) years of experience in ultrasound. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. 
• Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). 
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. 
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of the position consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards. 
• Ability to meet established qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards.
