The Virginia State Vehicle Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with state regulations. Working full-time at local inspection station, this position involves conducting thorough inspections to uphold transportation safety standards across Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed vehicle inspections to assess compliance with safety standards
- Identify mechanical defects and violations of state vehicle regulations
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- Apply knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures consistently and accurately
- Communicate inspection results and necessary corrective actions to vehicle owners
- Ensure adherence to Virginia State Vehicle Inspector Certification requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in vehicle inspection
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Thorough understanding of vehicle inspection procedures
- Attention to detail in identifying vehicle issues
- Knowledge of state vehicle regulations
- Experience in accurate record keeping
