We are growing deliberately, and every hire matters.POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist who can operate both CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components from print. This is a hands-on machinist role — not an operator role. The right candidate sets up their own jobs, reads and interprets engineering drawings, makes offset adjustments, and takes ownership of part quality from first article through final inspection.RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines from engineering drawings and job travelersPerform tool changes, offset adjustments, and in-process dimensional inspectionRead and interpret GD&T, tolerances, and surface finish requirements on engineering printsConduct first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM (if applicable)Identify and correct toolpath or programming issues to maintain part quality and cycle efficiencyMaintain accurate job records, traveler documentation, and material traceabilityCommunicate proactively with supervisors on job status, tooling needs, and quality issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop safety standardsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a production or job-shop environmentDemonstrated ability to hold tolerances of ±0.001\" or tighterProficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T calloutsExperience with offset adjustments and basic program editing at the control (Fanuc, Haas, or equivalent)Ability to select appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling for the material and operationExperience with standard inspection tools — micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, depth micsNIMS credential(s) in CNC Turning or CNC Milling a plus — not requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS✦Competitive pay — based on experience and qualifications✦401(k) with 4% company match✦Health insurance — 100% company paid✦Annual performance bonus✦Relocation assistance available for the right candidate| || |*JWC Machine and Fab is an equal opportunity employer.
