Job Description

The Director of Data Management will manage complex, cross-functional projects that enable Visa's commercial data products. This includes planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication for CEDP and related initiatives. The role requires strong program governance skills, ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments, and experience coordinating across global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management of our enhanced data program and other assigned data initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and governance dashboards.
• Facilitate steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder updates.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Platform teams to align priorities and dependencies.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Communications, Regional Product, Risk, and Legal to ensure adherence to regulatory and Visa standards.
• Drive process improvements for project governance and reporting.
• Ensure accurate documentation and change-management processes for data rules and workflows.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Support onboarding and enablement for new data capabilities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications :
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 10 plus years of experience in project or program management, preferably in technology or data-driven environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with global impact.
• Demonstrated experience with integrating AI into routine work.
• Project management experience at a software or technology company is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies - PMP or similar certification a plus.
• Payment industry experience is a nice to have.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.

The estimated salary range for this position is $173,100 to $307,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
