Position: Cook B – Neilson Dining Hall (Committee: AFSCME Local 888) FLSA Status: Nonexempt | Grade: 14 | Salary Range: $40,901.80 – $55,448.87 per year (minimum $40,901.80, mid range $48,018.98, maximum $55,448.87) Work Arrangement: Fully on‑site, 40.00 standard hours per week. Standard shift and schedule to be determined by the department. Responsibilities Handles overall cooking operations of the unit in the absence of Cook A. Guides and instructs Cook C, Grill Cook, Cook's Helper, and Dining Service Worker B in performance of a variety of cooking operations to comply with standardized procedures and schedules. Performs all duties of the group. Qualifications High‑school or vocational school education or equivalent, plus two years of varied cooking experience in a large‑volume institutional or restaurant setting. Ability to pass the Food Handler’s Certification. Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production sheets. Shift schedule to be determined.
