Part‑Time Veterinarians (Mobile Feline Clinic) The part‑time Veterinarian operates under the direction of the MRFRS Veterinary Practice Manager and Medical Director. As part of the team, you help ensure high‑quality veterinary care reaches cats in need through the surgical and medical services offered to the patients of the Catmobile service. What we’re looking for Veterinarians with a passion for helping all communities access veterinary care for their feline companions. Availability to work across Massachusetts with a mobile service. You will help staff a mobile clinic and develop a schedule that fits your lifestyle. Role & Responsibilities Oversee and facilitate high‑quality medical and surgical care of the day’s patients in the Catmobile. During the shift, the veterinarian is responsible for overseeing all aspects of veterinary care, including exams and surgeries, medication calculations, and patient discharge information. Medical & Surgical Care Examine, medically treat, medicate, and perform surgical sterilization of patients (spay/neuter). Review and confirm medication and anesthetic drug calculations. Review pre‑operative medical records. Ensure efficient flow of patients through procedures. Document all exam findings, treatments, vaccinations, and surgeries in the medical record. Assist with patient discharge as needed. Administrative Maintain documentation of all findings, test results, and treatment recommendations in MRFRS medical record system. Adhere to regulations for controlled substances and drug logs. Provide direction to the Catmobile Medical Team during operations. Qualifications & Education Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with current license to practice in Massachusetts. Current and active DEA license. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Maintain current MCSR. Maintaining PLIT Insurance is highly recommended. Flexible shift options: 10‑hour or 8‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday, and weekends as needed.
