IT Support Technician

IT Support TechnicianKuraray is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users, IT infrastructure, applications, and manufacturing systems. This position supports both office and plant-floor technology and requires strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware, software, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of IT support experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment, and is comfortable supporting both traditional IT systems and plant-floor technology.Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and software.Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and application issues and escalate complex problems as needed.Support Windows client/server environments, Microsoft 365, cloud applications, and on-premise infrastructure.Resolve IT incidents, service requests, problems, and system changes while minimizing business disruption.Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system access and equipment.Administer Active Directory user and computer accounts and manage access permissions.Deploy software, system updates, security patches, firmware updates, and backups.Support antivirus, threat protection, encryption, and device security compliance.Troubleshoot server operating systems and applications and assist with outage restoration.Support wired and wireless networks and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.Deploy and maintain VoIP phones, extensions, voicemail, and related voice services.Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment lifecycle records.Conduct onsite and virtual user training and create technical guides and training materials.Coordinate with IT vendors for equipment procurement, technical support, and service needs.Provide plant-floor IT support for manufacturing applications such as MES, SCADA, and LIMS.Work with engineering and production teams to maintain manufacturing system uptime and support upgrades and OT integrations.Follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE when entering manufacturing areas.Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure, desktop, application, or technical support experience.Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, including client and server environments.Microsoft 365 administration and support experience.Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, wired/wireless networks, and VoIP.Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, hardware, and software.Experience with Active Directory and user access administration.Knowledge of cloud-based and on-premise applications and infrastructure.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple technical issues and projects simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to train and support users across multiple departments.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with IT and business teams.Manufacturing or industrial IT support experience preferred.Experience supporting MES, SCADA, LIMS, or similar plant-floor systems highly desirable.Familiarity with ITIL practices, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards preferred.CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar IT certifications are a plus.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.Health insurance, health savings account, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, retirement plan.
