Overview

Our organization, a dedicated affiliate focused on women's health, is composed of skilled physicians equipped to deliver obstetrical and gynecological care tailored to the diverse age groups of our patients.

We are currently looking for a full-time physician to join our OB/GYN practice at Progressive Women's Health, located in Farmington, CT. Our team includes two MDs, one Certified Nurse Midwife, and one Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). All physicians share on-call duties and provide care across two office locations: Farmington, CT, and Bloomfield, CT. Our practice collaborates with St. Francis Hospital/Trinity and the University of Connecticut John Dempsey Hospital.

Applicants should possess the capability to accurately diagnose patient conditions and recommend suitable treatments. A solid understanding of fetal growth and development principles is essential, along with the ability to assess and categorize the specific needs of patients based on their age.

Position Highlights

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather comprehensive patient medical histories, including health records and examination results.
• Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Provide guidance and counseling to patients on adhering to prescribed treatment plans, understanding normal growth and development, family planning, managing daily emotional challenges, and maintaining overall health.
• Develop and execute patient management strategies, monitor hospitalized patients as necessary, document progress notes, and ensure continuity of care.
• Achieve proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Handle billing submissions during office visits.

Requirements

• Experience in OB/GYN or women's health
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Board certified or board eligible
• Valid Connecticut medical license
• Federal and state controlled substance licenses
• BLS certification
• Eligibility for hospital privileges
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), active listening, and excellent customer service abilities
