Cytotechnologist Key Responsibilities:

• Examine cellular samples, fluid specimens, and fine needle aspirations under a microscope to identify abnormalities or signs of disease.
• Analyze cellular morphology to detect cancerous or precancerous conditions.
• Document findings accurately in the lab information system, preparing comprehensive reports for pathologists.
• Ensure adherence to quality control protocols to maintain test accuracy and reliability.

Cytotechnologist Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification.
• At least one year of experience working as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical laboratory.
• Proficient in operating lab equipment, including microscopes and imaging systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex cellular samples.
