Position SummaryThe Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports production by minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair PLC controlled equipment and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Install, align, and maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, HVAC equipment, and other plant machinery. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Maintain instrumentation and calibration equipment. Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement parts. Support equipment upgrades, installations, and plant improvement projects. Fabricate or modify machine parts as needed using welding and fabrication techniques. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures. QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED. Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent maintenance experience preferred. Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical industrial equipment. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting. Ability to work scheduled and emergency overtime as needed. PreferredIndustrial electrical maintenance experience. Experience with PLC troubleshooting. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Vocational or technical training in electrical maintenance. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Physical RequirementsLift up to 25 pounds. Ability to wear required PPE, including a PAPR respirator when necessary. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the manufacturing facility.
