Maintenance Technician

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations and equipment upkeep, as well as, focusing on routine maintenance, coordination of repairs, and general facility support. W ork hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional Fridays when needed.

Job Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance including lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filter changes, and minor repairs and address general maintenance requests across the facility
• Replace ceiling tiles, perform minor floor repairs, and handle basic upkeep tasks
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on compressors, overhead doors, and support systems and m aintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on fabrication, assembly, and support equipment and communicate downtime and expected resolution timelines
• Identify when outside assistance is required, source multiple vendors, obtain competitive quotes, recommend selection, and schedule contractor work
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up and tearing down tables for events and other physical tasks and support general plant organization and cleanliness
• Perform light weeding, salting sidewalks, snow removal, and other groundskeeping tasks as needed
• Work with HR and safety personnel to identify and address facility-related safety concerns and support corrective actions from audits and inspections
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of general maintenance or facility experience
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle basic repairs independently
• Experience coordinating contractors or vendors is a plus
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills, while prioritizing tasks and following through without constant supervision
• Must have a willingness to perform daily physical, hands-on work
• Must be dependable and responsive
• Must have own reliable transportation
