ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Duties

You will independently, receive and examine work order requests for repair, modification, conversion, or new construction to be accomplished by small contract and/or in-house trades and crafts personnel.

You will prepare plans, specifications and estimates for the construction, alteration, extension, modification, maintenance and/or repair of installation real property.

You will conduct inspections of work performed by contract to ensure compliance with contract provisions.

You will prepare and process receiving reports to initiate contract payments to vendors.

You will assist other members in the branch as advisor on policies, procedures, methods and document preparation in the area of procurement of supplies, equipment, and services obtained to accomplish job order requests for commercial vendors.

You will produce detailed cost estimates that include material take-offs and all elements of cost involved in completion of work.

You will be on the MRO Support Staff and work with the USMX Maximo program to ensure assets, job plans and Preventative Maintenance Work Orders are aligned and properly scheduled.
