Project Lead, Innovation & Partnerships, R&D MedTech

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Project Lead to oversee innovation and partnership initiatives within R&D Surgery. The role involves leading cross-functional teams executing collaborative product development projects between MedTech and Innovative Medicine, from concept through market launch, in a hybrid onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams executing multiple parallel product development projects with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine
• Manage external and inter-company collaboration projects from assessment through launch and transfer to life-cycle management
• Ensure projects meet performance agreement requirements including time to market, cost, development costs, quality, and forecasts
• Drive technical direction and decisions, resolving challenges autonomously and escalating issues when necessary
• Transfer products and manufacturing processes to operations and marketing upon completion; capture and disseminate process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's or PhD in biomedical, mechanical, or electrical engineering strongly preferred
• 7+ years medical device development experience, including combination products or related fields
• Proven track record delivering technically complex products from concept to market launch
• Project management expertise with PMP certification or equivalent; proficiency in Smartsheet and MS Project
• Medical manufacturing experience desirable
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in medtech (GMP, ISO, MDD)
