Our organization is looking for board-certified medical and cosmetic dermatologists with a strong academic background to join our esteemed Department of Dermatology. Located in New York City, we boast the largest residency program in the nation and rank among the top departments in the United States.

We are particularly interested in recruiting a senior dermatologist and a junior dermatologist who possess expertise in skin of color. These individuals will serve as the director and associate director of our skin of color center, respectively, depending on their experience and academic credentials. This is a remarkable opportunity for the right candidates, as our department is at the forefront of clinical and translational research in this area, aiming to establish the skin of color center as a leading institution in the U.S. and beyond. The successful applicants will join a team of 27 faculty members in a highly supportive environment.

The selected candidates will be responsible for providing medical and/or cosmetic dermatology services while also engaging in clinical, translational, and/or basic research focused on conditions affecting skin of color, such as keloids, vitiligo, and CCCA. Additionally, they will mentor and guide the next generation of dermatologists. The senior candidate will also participate in departmental management and collaborate with senior leadership within the hospital and school.

• Experience with lasers and cosmetic procedures, particularly for skin of color.
• A strong commitment to academics, teaching, and scholarly projects, especially in relation to conditions affecting patients of color.
• A solid academic record with publications and research contributions.
• A proven history of securing foundation or NIH grants (especially for the senior candidate).
• A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in clinical trials is advantageous.

• A diverse patient and referral base, including a significant population of skin of color patients.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Must obtain and maintain a medical license in New York State.
• A track record of academic productivity, research, and publications, particularly in skin of color.
• Experience in clinical trials and/or clinical/translational research is a plus.
• Expertise in cosmetic procedures and lasers is also a plus.

Therefore, actual compensation may fall within or outside the listed range. The stated salary range applies to full-time positions and does not include bonuses or benefits.
