Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role is suitable for both experienced nurses and first-time travelers. The RN will provide patient care during the recovery phase after anesthesia.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)
  • On-call Requirement: Yes, 1-2 weeknights (Monday-Thursday from 17:30 - 07:00) and 1 weekend each month (Friday 17:30 to Monday 07:00)
  • Weekend Coverage: Required
Patient Care Responsibilities
  • Manage patient care in Phase I (1:1 patient ratio) and Phase II (1:2 patient ratio) recovery.
  • Monitor and manage patients recovering from a variety of procedures, including but not limited to:


    • Bariatric
    • Vascular
    • ENT/Eyes
    • GI
    • GYN
    • Orthopedic
    • Neuro
    • Trauma
  • Administer and manage medications, including narcotics and reversal agents.
  • Conduct assessments and implement pain management protocols, including using PCA pumps.
  • Provide care for ventilated patients and manage dysrhythmias.

Qualifications
  • Licensure: Valid Compact RN license required at the time of application.
  • Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience required. Previous charge experience preferred.
  • Charting System Experience: Proficient in Epic or similar electronic health record systems.
