ITU is the higher acuity adult unit (patients with thought disorder diagnoses), SRAD has patients that live a senior lifestyle. VINE is lower acuity adult unit. Type of equipment : Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: We require coverage for three 12-hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Please note that days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract. On Call Requirements: NA Floating policy: C/L is utilized where the greatest need is. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS and CPI Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Ability to assess patients' mental health status, including recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems. This involves taking thorough patient histories, observing behavior, and using diagnostic tools. Care Planning: Developing individualized care plans based on the needs of patients with mental health and behavioral issues. This includes setting goals, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. Medication Management: Administering psychiatric medications and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions. Knowledge of psychotropic medications Must have: Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate, short-term support to patients in crisis (e.g., suicidal ideation, aggression). This includes de-escalation techniques and appropriate medication management. Advanced skills needed: Therapeutic Communication: Building trust and rapport with patients through effective communication skills, active listening, and empathy. Procedures performed on unit: Monitoring patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects.
