License: Compact or state license required.

Certifications: ARDMS and BLS required.

Must-Have:

• Community hospital experience required.
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend.
• On-call requirement: Call coverage will include Monday to Friday every other week.

Description: The Echo Sonographer will perform echocardiograms for patients of all ages. Experience with GE equipment is required. The role includes performing diagnostic imaging procedures including 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, and Doppler studies. Strong skills in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG and conducting pharmacologic stress echoes are necessary. Additional experience in adult acute care and pediatric outpatient settings is preferred. The candidate should have experience in emergency department, ICU, and trauma settings. The position requires interaction with interdisciplinary teams. Compliance with safety and isolation precautions is mandatory. Candidates should be prepared to handle a patient ratio of 8-10. Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment is essential.
