Job Summary

An experienced Information Technology, IT Business Partner is needed to develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation while working according to established guidelines in the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The candidate should be able to apply their knowledge and experience in IT applications related to multiple organizations to understand priorities and develop a strategy to ensure business objectives are met. As a key member of the team, collaborates directly with business or function partners to understand problems or initiatives, and represents the business or function within IT to engage the right resources, explores alternatives and help deploy the right solution with first time quality. Develops and executes communication plans, including status to leadership and to business or function stakeholders. Identifies risks and impacts and coordinates with business or function to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments. Provides input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques, and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

  • Oversees and acts as an internal consultant for liaison activities at a strategic/enterprise level between the business or function and IT and related organizations to understand priorities and develop a strategy to ensure the most complex of business objectives are met.
  • Reports to senior leadership on IT service offerings.
  • Collaborates directly with business or function to understand problems or initiatives, and represents the business or function within IT at the highest levels to engage the right resources, explores alternatives and help deploy the right solution with first time quality.
  • Directs the development and execution of communication plans, including status to leadership, to business or function stakeholders.
  • Oversees the identification of risks and impacts and coordinates with business or function senior leadership to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments.
  • Provides input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques, and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function.
  • Has overall accountability for the schedule of their applicable business unit(s) or function(s).
  • Contribute to data governance and architecture discussions.

What we’re looking for (Required qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Integration experience in enterprise solutions.
  • 5+ years of hand‑on experience with development of presentations, managing schedules and providing integration solutions for enterprise large scale projects.
  • 5+ years of experience developing new IT applications
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft project applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Project, Microsoft Word and excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling and building semantic layers.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Proven ability to investigate complex technical issues and produce methodical resolutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and delivering projects on schedule.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in Metrology information systems
  • Experience in asset management systems
  • Experience developing new IT applications
  • Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and requirements tracing tools.
  • Experience with analytics, version control, and automated testing.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry.

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate $86

Max Pay Rate $91
