Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown travel assignment in Raleigh, NC. The assignment is 13 weeks with a consistent night-shift schedule and strong exposure to complex stepdown nursing care.

• Location: Raleigh, NC 27609
• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Full-time with every other weekend required
• Start Date: 10/5/2026
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Setting: Cardiac stepdown / telemetry-focused unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact state, in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience , including telemetry experience
• Current BLS ACLS , and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to care for patients with a typical ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
• Must be prepared to provide a supervisory reference from the past year

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality bedside nursing care for cardiac stepdown patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and therapies, including cardiac-related interventions and drips as ordered
• Manage common stepdown needs such as oxygen therapy, IVs, blood products, and line care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other clinical support services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Support patient safety, communication, and discharge readiness throughout the shift
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care while maintaining excellent clinical standards in a fast-paced acute care setting
