Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC), a 309-bed nonprofit regional referral center, is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon to join its established program. This is a hospital-employed position offering a succession planning opportunity with mentorship. The role involves contributing to a full-service cardiovascular hub that serves a population of over 350,000 across 14 counties. Established program with ~350 open heart cases annually. Join 2 experienced cardiothoracic surgeons. 3 cardiovascular OR suites and 3 da Vinci robotic systems (including DV5). Dedicated cardiac anesthesia team. Structural heart program (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman). Advanced imaging: TEE, CT, cardiac MRI, intracardiac echo. 16-bed cardiac ICU (30 ICU beds total). Accredited stroke and chest pain center. 53,000 ED visits annually; no trauma designation. STS 3-star rating for CABG and AVR; Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital. Epic EMR. 4 CTS PAs and dedicated CTS anesthesia. Clinic located adjacent to hospital. Focus on thoracic, TAVR, and mitral valve procedures. Compensation Competitive base salary WRVU bonus.
