Job Description Summary:
Join and build the next generation of AI Personalization platform in PayPal's Consumer Machine Learning team. take our AI Stack to the next level, and create the future of the Search stack on the PayPal App! As a Machine Learning Engineer in Consumer ML Ops team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our recommendation infrastructure on PayPal Stacks and deploying solutions that impact hundreds of millions of consumers' personalized experiences.

Get involved in Google Vertex AI solutions Stack to bring cutting-edge cloud solutions into existing stacks, such as AutoML, custom training, BQML, real-time inferencing, features stores, GenAI, etc. You will be working closely with our data science team to ensure that our models are deployed, monitored, and scaled efficiently.

Job Description:

Your day to day

• Design, develop, and maintain our machine learning infrastructure, recommendation engine, pipelines on PayPal in-house stacks and GCP stacks
• Build and maintain automated workflows for data preparation, model training, and deployment
• Work closely with our data science team to ensure that models are deployed, monitored, and scaled efficiently
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure that the machine learning infrastructure is integrated with the overall system architecture -
• Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of machine learning models
• Monitor the performance of deployed models and implement solutions for optimization
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning technologies and incorporate them into our infrastructure

What do you need to bring:

• Masters degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) with 3+ yrs. of relevant industry experience or PhD with 2+ yrs. of relevant industry experience
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python, experienced with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch -
• Good knowledge and experience with Cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, Azure to build enterprise level solutions
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with DevOps best practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Quick learner, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
