About This Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our team as Assistant Director. As a key member of our center, this individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic direction and fostering a positive early learning environment. To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent customer service skills, a background in education administration, and a strong commitment to early childhood education.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a leadership role in a licensed facility, with a strong working knowledge of the early childhood environment and familiarity with licensing and regulatory agencies. This individual should be able to work independently with attention to detail, and possess excellent problem-solving and strategic planning capabilities.

• Oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring that our educational programs meet the highest quality standards.
• Promote compliance and operational efficiency within the center.
• Provide training and support to all staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Represent the institution at various meetings, conferences, and community events as needed.

• Proven experience in educational leadership or administration.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and team-building.
• Demonstrated ability to educate others on best practices within an academic environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Minimum of a SC Early Childhood Education Credential Level 3 (21 ECE credits)
• Excellent strategic planning capabilities with an ability to think critically and solve problems creatively.

• Experience working in a childcare setting classroom for at least one year.
• Previous experience in an administrative role in a childcare setting for at least one year.
• Completion of more than 27 credits in Early Childhood Education.
