TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, 28777!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, NIH, PALS or ENPC, BLS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Emergency department experience, advanced skills in ACLS, PALS, trauma, and cardiac care. Excellent assessment skills required. Description: General information about the unit includes 12 beds and patient ratios of 4-6. Staffing consists of RNs and ED Techs available 24/7. Equipment includes Carefusion Alaris IV Pumps and GE bedside monitors. Documentation is managed via Cerner. Scheduling requires 3-12 hour shifts and 6-8 weekend shifts per schedule. Floating policy is not applicable. Experience in the Emergency Department is required, with ICU experience preferred. Advanced skills are required for managing trauma and cardiac cases. Procedures performed on the unit include bedside cardioversion, procedural sedation, splinting, and assisting with intubation. The dress code is navy scrubs with white tops. Unit guidelines and policies must be followed as per system requirements. This unit was recently recognized with a professional designation. The unit functions as a community emergency department with physician and mid-level support available 24/7. The annual patient volume is approximately 14,000 with an average acuity of 3.
