Provide specialized expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to support students in achieving academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success. Provide thoughtful and comprehensive diagnostic services in intelligence, behavior, and adaptive skills, including standardized assessments, observations, and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs). Serve as a dedicated member of school-based teams, collaborating to support student success. Partner with families by offering guidance, support, and practical strategies following evaluations. Clearly communicate assessment results and observations to the IEP team to identify needs and appropriate services. Provide individual and group counseling to students navigating academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers to address learning and behavioral concerns, developing effective classroom strategies and accommodations. Support the MTSS Team with proactive, pre‑referral intervention strategies. Act as a reliable liaison between student services and the school for clear communication and continuity of care. Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Student Services. License/Certificate: RI Certification: School Psychologist, PK‑12 Technological Skills: Proficiency in scoring software, Microsoft Office, ASPEN, and Google products. Communication Skills: Ability to respond to requests from colleagues; strong verbal and written skills; sensitivity to parents, students, and community members. Planning Skills: Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and follow through with tasks. Interpersonal and Problem‑Solving Skills: Ability to interact with administration, staff, students, and parents effectively; maintain complete confidentiality.
