The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that fosters language acquisition and cultural appreciation among students. This role requires a strong commitment to student success, innovative teaching methods, and collaboration with colleagues to enhance the curriculum. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Utilize various teaching methodologies, including technology integration, to enhance student engagement and understanding of the Spanish language. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and critical thinking. Mentor students in their academic pursuits, providing guidance in areas such as literacy education and standardized testing preparation. Maintain organized records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and areas for improvement. Create a positive, structured learning environment to ensure that students observe the school’s core values and high expectations. Facilitate learning by designing lessons for whole class and small group instruction. Implement formative and summative assessments and analyze the data to provide further instruction. Collaborate with the World Languages Department to enhance Spanish instruction through active participation in the school-based professional learning community. Commit to professional growth, participating actively in department meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development initiatives. Participate in extracurricular activities hosted at ECS, collaborate within the team, and meet all professional responsibilities. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
