Position Summary/Objective: To promote customer sales and service in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, and achieve desired sales and profit goals. Basic Employment Expectations: Safety Performs work safely and uses the appropriate PPE. Checks the work area for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions. Consider the safety of oneself, and other employees, and customers. Follows all safety protocols and seeks advice from supervisor when uncertain. Communication Maintains open communication and cooperates with supervisor, departments, and fellow employees. Communicates with supervisor and others immediately when unexpected problems cause absence, lateness, or the need to leave early. Accountability & Professionalism Abides by policies set forth in the employee policy manual. Carries a fair share of the workload. Promotes NEW Cooperative through positive, friendly, and professional interactions. Is punctual, follows directives, and works in an efficient and timely manner; accepts personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the work. Understands that satisfactory attendance is essential to the efficient operations of the work environment. Customer Service Continually works to satisfy customers to address questions/concerns through effective communication, solving problems, responding to questions, and managing their expectations. Personal/Professional Development Establishes personal performance goals and works toward these goals. Continually upgrades and demonstrates knowledge of the job. Front Desk/Administrative Support: Answer incoming calls greeting callers warmly and direct the inquiries. Greet customers, vendors, employees and assists as needed. Assist in various departments with projects including mailings, scanning, and other office responsibilities. Order office supplies and paper as needed. Pick up the mail, open and direct to appropriate area. Monitor site security cameras. Accounting Scan checks to banks. Process received on account payments (ROA’s). Back-up for scanning location checks. Zero out small balances. Ticket Corrections Fold/Stuff and mail accounts Payable checks weekly. Other Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: Must be licensed and insurable to drive. Must be proficient in Microsoft platforms, especially Excel. Must have strong computer skills. Possesses problem solving capability and understands the operational processes. Must be analytical and have a strong attention to detail. Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position will occasionally lift/carry up to 10 lbs. Position will frequently talk, hear sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
