Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU / Pediatric / Adult Acute Care

Location: Muncie, IN

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 4x12-Hour Shifts

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care services across NICU, Pediatric Acute Care, Adult Acute Care, and Intensive Care patient populations. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care respiratory experience, excellent clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.

This position requires floating between NICU, Pediatrics, Adult Acute Care, and Intensive Care units.

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana Respiratory Therapist License (Required at Submission)

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Current PALS Certification

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Respiratory Therapy Experience

• Experience with NICU, Pediatric, and Adult Patient Populations

• First-Time Travelers Accepted

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

• Provide airway management and ventilatory support.

• Administer respiratory medications and oxygen therapy.

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation.

• Manage ventilators and non-invasive respiratory support devices.

• Administer BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizer treatments, and pulmonary hygiene therapies.

• Perform suctioning and pulmonary toileting procedures.

• Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record.

• Float between NICU, Pediatric, Adult Acute Care, and Intensive Care units as needed.
