Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform computed tomography procedures and related diagnostic techniques

• Administer x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation

• May be required to alternate shifts, work weekends, holidays, and take call

• Flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures and may also perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams if assigned radiographer duties

• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedures and ensure documentation is available for radiologist use

• Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions, and minimize patient anxiety

• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories

• Position patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting patient comfort

• Practice aseptic technique and prepare/administer contrast media as appropriate

• Start and maintain intravenous access when needed

• Initiate basic life support actions when necessary

• Provide patient education and practical instruction for students and partners

• Observe universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers

• Apply patient safety principles during all procedures including patient transport

• Graduate of accredited radiography program required with education verification

• 2 years of CT experience required

• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography registration, ARRT Computed Tomography registration, IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation, approved CPR or BLS certification
