Welder/Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional qualified to AWS D1.1 for MIG welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning fabrication, fitting, tacking, and welding tasks, working closely with engineers to create fixtures and minimize distortion. This role also involves rigging large weldments for movement and positioning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fabrication, fitting, tacking, and welding tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop fixtures and minimize distortion.
• Rig large weldments for proper movement and positioning.

Qualifications

• Qualified to AWS D1.1 for MIG welding.
• Experience with AWS D17.1 for steel is a plus.
• Experience in an AS9100 environment is a definite advantage.
• Understanding of AWS codes, ability to read weld symbols, and interpret drawings.
• Experience as a heavy-duty mechanic is ideal.
