Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Environmental Service Technician I working full-time night shifts. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to health department standards and organizational policies.

Job Summary

As an Environmental Service Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas using germicidal detergents and supplies. Duties include dusting, mopping, washing walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment, and other surfaces. You will also handle the distribution of laundered supplies and ensure patient care areas are stocked with clean linens. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and a commitment to safety for patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and service all assigned areas including patient rooms, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Remove garbage and soiled linens promptly and safely.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
• Work under close supervision while maintaining efficiency and quality.
• Rotate between various district facilities as needed, including clinics and administrative offices.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred; hospital-based experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and excellent customer service orientation.
• Competence in operating common cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform tasks with consideration for patient safety and comfort.

Physical Requirements

This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 35 pounds. The ability to work safely around biohazards and maintain normal vision, hearing, and speech is necessary.

Work Schedule

Full-time, night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
