As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure, welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour 3.1 Security Experience Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should include, but is not limited to, roles in security operations, risk management, or related fields. Candidates are encouraged to provide detailed descriptions of their previous roles and responsibilities in their resumes or during the interview process. 3.2 Technological Proficiency Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using a computer or tablet (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications, email communication, and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively. Job Schedule: DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records. Control vehicle and pedestrian access, direct delivery drivers to designated areas, and communicate access-related information to appropriate site contacts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
